Ferndale Farm

Directions

Ferndale Lodge is situated approximately 50km inland from East London on the N6.

From East London: Head on the N6 towards Stutterheim. After about 40km you will pass a turnoff to Nculu Post on your right hand side. Continue on the N6. Shortly thereafter you will see a farm sign saying Smiling Valley. Continue on the N6. You will see another farm sign saying Killaloe. Continue on the N6 for another 1km. As the road begins to bend to the left, on the corner you will see large palm trees and chevron signs, so slow down. Amongst these palms is the entrance to 'Ferndale'. 

From Umtata (or N2 to East London): After crossing the Kei River, take the right turning to Komga. Drive directly through Komga on the R63 in the direction of King Williams Town. After 30km turn right following the signs to East London. Almost immediately turn right again onto the N6 in the direction of East London. After 3km on the N6, you will pass a left turn to Nculu Post. Slow down as the Ferndale Entrance is only 800m down the road on the left. As the road bends right, on the corner on the left you will see large palms and chevron signs. Amongst these palms is the entrance to 'Ferndale'.



From farm entrance: Drive into the farm along the gravel road. You will cross two cattle grids, not including the entrance grid. Immediately after the second grid, on the left hand side you will see the track that takes you down to Ferndale Lodge.
